Operate roll-off trucks, end dumps, dry vans, box trucks, and rocket launchers. Drivers load waste chemical into trucks and transport the loads to disposal sites at various locations. 75% of the driving will be intrastate and 25% of the driving is interstate. Responsible for the manifest of hazardous and non-hazardous waste for transportation. Drivers are on call and available on weekends.
– 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations Training (HAZWOPER)
– CPR & First Aid Certification (Optional)
– Confined Space Certified (Optional)
– DOT Physical Examination (Company Supplied)
– California Commercial Class A Driver license with Hazardous Materials, Tanker & Air Brakes Endorsements.
– Must be able to read and write English
– Standing and walking is required 30% of the work shift on even and uneven surfaces.
– Lifting from 10 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds is required 10 to 15 times per shift.
– Climbing is occasionally required
– Crouching and crawling is required occasionally.
– Sitting is required 70% of the work shift
– Drivers must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
– Pre-Employment Physical with DOT drug screen (Company Supplied).
– Have transportation available to company terminal 24 hours a day and must be accessible by phone 24 hours a day.
– Personal Protective Equipment gear bag in their possession and fully stocked at all times.
– Overtime and Overnights may be required
